German police have carried out raids in three states in search of suspected supporters of a terrorist cell which planned to attack US targets in Germany.
Federal and regional investigators targeted homes of several people suspected of acquiring detonators for the alleged terror plotters. No arrests were made. Three people are currently standing trial for allegedly plotting to attack US bases in Germany on behalf of the Islamic Jihad Union organisation.
